State Senator who got a drunk driving charge
She has a smile like The Joker.
I spent a little while trying to figure out what politics she follows. Her website reads like the typical politician. But, she is listed here as a Democrat. I wonder why it wasn't said that she is a democrat in any of the articles. The DN didn't mention it, nor did the LJS article about this incident. I would typically say that is fine, but when a Republican does something wrong, "Sen. John Dumbshit (R), got pulled over the other day for speeding. Witnesses say he then fucked a sheep."

I'm not sure why they didn't identify her as a D but it might have something to do with the fact that the Unicameral is a non-partisan entity. So you can be a member of the Republican Party and be elected to the Unicameral but as far as the Unicameral goes you aren't "The Republican Senator from Elwood" or whatever.
You should check out the Omaha world Herald story (omaha.com) and see if they put a partisan spin on it. The OWH has historically trended conservative whereas the Journal Star and obviously the DN are more liberal outlets.
