Senator Edwards denied

According to the Associated Press, Senator John Edwards will have to wait in line like the rest of us.

One of John Edwards' staff members has contacted Wal-Mart in Raleigh, North Carolina, asking if the Senator will be able to get a PS3 without waiting in a line. This is pretty funny, considering that Senator Edwards had recently been involved in a hearing on the poor treatment of Wal-Mart employees.

When contacted about the call to Wal-Mart, the call apparently never took place: "He instructed no one to contact Wal-Mart on our behalf." Later, however, Edwards admitted that a staff member did contact Wal-Mart, although he said the employee was attempting to secure a PS3 for himself and not for the Senator.

Wal-Mart made this comment on the situation: "While the rest of America's working families are waiting patiently in line, Sen. Edwards wants to cut to the front."

Apparently what happened was that Edwards' wife made a comment to him in front of this particular member of staff about wanting a PS3 for their children, and then he saw this opportunity to try and snatch one for himself.
