People and Age

Last night at the Downtown, one of my home boys, Broders, got a keg and hooked a bunch of us up with free beer and shit. Anywho, I'm talking to another dude, Patrick, and he says, "It's sad when people-you-graduated-with's younger brothers are 21 now." I ask how old he was and the answer was 24. He acts like 24 is old.

Which brings me to something else I hate, and no offense to Patrick, I'm just glad he did it so I could remember to bitch about it. I hate it when people in their 20s bitch about being old. It means you just want people to recognize how mature you are...look at me, look at me.

My old boss, who was 27 when I started, couldn't go a day with out saying how old she was. Or the classic, "I'm getting old." You are not old, you are just seeking attention.
